Vice President, Research, IDC
Serge Findling is Vice-President of Research with IDC's IT Executive Programs (IEP) and the CIO Agenda program. Serge manages IDC's Strategic Architecture practice, which helps organizations leverage architecture to create a business and technology strategy enabled by 3rd Platform technologies. He supports clients through research, consulting, training, and speaking engagements. Serge also serves as an Energy and IT advisor at the Houston Technology Center and counsels startups at the MIT Enterprise Forum.
Serge is a transformational global business leader with over 30 years of leadership experience in Fortune 50 technology environments, forging pioneering changes in outcomes and organizational cultures. His expertise includes a broad range of functions including strategy, global business development, planning, operations, marketing, communications, finance, cost control, procurement, contracting, and all aspects of IT.
In his previous position at Hewlett-Packard, Serge directly supported eight CIOs and EVPs of global operations and was leading their most critical initiatives. Prior to HP, he had executive responsibility at Compaq, Digital Equipment, and for an international construction leader.
He graduated in civil engineering from “Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Publics,” one of the prestigious French "Grandes Ecoles,” and has a degree in economics from the Sorbonne University. Serge received his executive education from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business.
